About the project

Trucks returned half-empty. Clients never knew.

The challenge

IMPEX had free space on every return route — but their silent website couldn’t shout it. No live offers. No fast booking. Wasted capacity costing thousands.

“We had free space on every return route — but no way to tell clients fast enough.”

No system to publish available space instantly. No shared savings for clients. Competitors filled gaps manually — stealing deals.
Worse: An outdated website and weak branding failed to communicate their strengths — reliability, speed, Europe-wide network. No modern web presence meant they were invisible online in a digital-first logistics world.

Our approach

We gave empty space a marketplace — and turned values into action.
We built a live e-commerce module that:

  • Pulls return-route availability from internal systems
  • Auto-publishes “Shared Shipment” product cards
  • Lets clients filter, book, and save — instantly
  • Syncs with Facebook Shop for targeted ads to past clients

Bonus: We modernised IMPEX’s entire web presence — refreshed branding, sharper logo, bolder greens, and a dynamic site that now proves their values (trust, speed, partnership) with clear messaging, client logos, and real-time proof of smart logistics.

The outcome

Full trucks. Happy clients. New revenue.

IMPEX now turns empty return routes into instant revenue. Their new e-commerce platform publishes shared shipment opportunities in real time, letting clients book leftover capacity at lower rates while trucks run full in both directions.

The process

From research to revenue — step by step

We followed a lean, insight-driven path to deliver a scalable, admin-friendly platform — no fluff, just results.

We kicked off with in-depth workshops alongside IMPEX to map their business model, identify competitors, and pinpoint pain points — such as underutilised return routes, manual quoting delays, and a static site that failed to highlight strengths like reliability and Europe-wide coverage. This phase also defined user personas and set clear goals for turning unused capacity into shared shipments.

We restructured the website following best UX practices to help users quickly find relevant information, while allowing IMPEX to showcase their expertise across services and industries. The content layout and navigation were carefully planned to create a logical, easy-to-navigate system. We also mapped out how the new freight marketplace and e-commerce functionality would integrate into the updated site, ensuring a seamless user experience and a smooth transition from information browsing to placing actual orders.

We restructured the site for optimal UX, prioritising intuitive navigation so users can quickly find services, route info, and booking options. Wireframes highlighted IMPEX’s expertise in full and partial loads, while integrating a shared-shipment marketplace and e-commerce flows to drive conversions and strengthen client loyalty.

We built on WordPress + WooCommerce + Avada for an easy-to-manage foundation. A custom NodeJS automation engine scans freight exchanges (mimicking human login without APIs), filters loads by criteria, and auto-generates product cards (General & Automotive) — with admin checkbox approval for dynamic inventory. Added integrations: Paysera for auto-payments/invoices/emails, Facebook Shop sync for real-time ads, role-based access for staff order groups, and inquiry forms with backend/email alerts.

Server prepped with latest modules, database optimized, and load/stress tested. Full functionality verified: automation, payments, multilingual switching, mobile responsiveness. Post-launch monitoring confirmed fast load times and zero downtime — ready for scale.

The process

A system built for the long haul

We didn’t just code – we engineered a workflow that mirrors IMPEX’s operations: fast, reliable, human-centered.
Every line of code, every pixel, every integration was stress-tested to eliminate friction – for admins, drivers, and clients.

The result

A platform that works as hard as their trucks

We delivered more than a website – we built a revenue engine.
The first e-commerce system in IMPEX’s history now:

  • Turns empty return space into instant sales
  • Gives clients real savings and faster booking
  • Lets non-tech admins run it with one click
  • Proves brand values in every interaction

From static brochure to dynamic marketplace, IMPEX now leads with speed, transparency, and smart logistics – powered by Mox.
